Half Way There

That's right! We've made it halfway through this Amish Journey. Five of the ten planned stories are now available from Trestle Press

There are plenty of rumors and myths flying around about the Amish. In this story, I thought I'd swat one of them down. I hope you like it.

Outsiders have many myths about the Amish. It has been said that an Amish father will paint to door of his house blue when he has a daughter old enough to marry. Allan Howarth will learn first-hand if that myth is true. In The Blue Door, Allan’s daughter Alice reveals her true motives for staying in Karsten Field. Meanwhile, Allan finds himself welcomed into the community, first through his new students and then by their parents. To top it all, his friend Ben Abrim has a surprise announcement that Allan never expected.

News from afar

Here is the latest from my publisher, Trestle Press -

Ladies and Gentlemen we are proud to announce that “Knit Together” by Karen Anna Vogel has been released in print and is available on Amazon for $14.99.

This novel has been an e-book since November 7th, 2012 and has been on the Amazon Kindle charts since day one. The journey that was taken to get this to market has been an amazing learning experience but one that we all enjoyed and wouldn’t trade for anything.

But this is just the tip of the iceberg for us! Next up is Dr. Joe E Morris’s Amazon Kindle best-Selling non-fiction book “Things I Wish Jesus Hadn’t Said”, John Reed’s “Another Lousy Day In Paradise”, and G.A. Zanni’s “Deceitful Things” this month.

April will bring us to another first as we take all of Big Daddy Abel’s Amazon Kindle Best-Selling work, short stories and novellas alike, add a few new things and put it together in one book complete with a bevy of pictures that will be sure to delight all of BDA’s biggest fans. We will also be releasing Roy H. Ryan’s Amazon Kindle Best-Selling non-fiction book “Hot Button Issues for Religion and Politics” , Mark Miller’s “Daniel’s Lot” and Carey Jane Clark’s Gracie Award Nominated “After The Snow Falls”.

We think you are beginning to get the point here. We have a number of announcements to make this month and we are glad this is the first. Thank you again for supporting our authors and their hard work.

Something a little different

I have been blessed with so many readers of Set Free: An Amish Journey. I had the chance to try something different and I hope you'll like it.

Mark Miller (http://www.amazon.com/Mark-Miller/e/B002BOE0WC) is a talented writer who I've come to know through my new journey as an author. He has a monthly series called Mark Miller's One. It is a catchy idea about how we are all connected on one planet. The stories are about faith and spirituality, but not solely Christianity. That idea fascinates me and I could not say no when he invited me to be a part of it. (http://www.facebook.com/MarkMillersOne)

I took the opportunity to share some parts of my life. I hope you can see that reflected in my Amish Journey stories.

Another wonderful element is that starting with my story, I am going to donate 100% of my proceeds from the One series to a charity. Mr. Miller showed me this link to a group down in Florida called Give Kids the World. That is who he is donating to, so it sounded like a grand plan to me.

Please give it a looksee - www.GKTW.org

My story is called Snake in the Water and it is Story Six in the series. You can get it from Amazon for a penny less than a dollar. (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007AWTM7S) Thanks for reading!

Number 4 and a new cover

Here I am with the fourth volume of my story published by Trestle Press. All I can do is give thanks for all of the readers that have made it possible to call this a "best-selling" series.

You can get the newest story on Kindle by clicking here:

What do you think of the new cover design? I think it really sets my story apart and I feel pretty good. I like how the title looks painted on to the side of the house.

This volume moves the story along somewhat, but we also take a break for a flashback. I wanted to show how Karsten Field came to be. I wanted folks to know how God has worked through the people of Karsten Field before and that He is not done with them.

Thank you all again for reading Set Free. I hope it means as much to you reading it as it does to me writing it.

The Barn Incident

Thanks to Trestle Press, volume 3 of my Amish Journey is now available.

You can get "The Barn Incident" at this link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006XJR6S6

Volume 3 continues the story of Allan and his family. After Allan's mid-winter baptism, they are faced with several new dilemmas. Please come back to Karsten Field to see how the end of January becomes hotter than expected.

More from me.

Well, I turned in volume 3 of Set Free today. It should be out soon.

I understand the first two volumes have been well received, so I would definitely like to thank everyone that is reading it. I also want to thank Trestle Press for the incredible opportunity.

Here are the links to the first two parts:

Coming Home - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006K8U7CW

The Hat on the Water - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006O4DR8I

With the third one written, I am turning my attention to another project. I have been invited to participate in an amazing series called "ONE". You can see it on Facebook here - http://www.facebook.com/MarkMillersOne

This series is about different beliefs from around the world. I am excited to be a part of this, there are quite a few amazing authors involved already. Mark Miller created the series. He is another fantastic author with my publisher, Trestle Press. Here is his page on Amazon.com - www.amazon.com/Mark-Miller/e/B002BOE0WC

Mr. Miller has a lot too offer and the "ONE" stories are also quite spiritually satisfying, but I'm not trying to sway anybody's opinion here. Maybe I am, a little. You might want to get the other "ONE" stories before mine comes out in February.

Thanks for reading my blog!
